My name is Damon Crockett. I'm a researcher at Yale University working on large language models.
I'm interested in intentionality—the ability of things to be about other things. I've explored intentionality as a philosopher studying the representational contents of perceptual experiences, as a scientist visualizing data, and now as an AI researcher studying machines that both learn internal representations and generate sequences in representation systems like natural language.
I'm currently learning to induce and identify mental representations in machine minds in order to shape their behavior.
